Limited Reserve Chardonnay

Aromas of sweet butter and oak spice, followed by waves of spiced-apple, pear and melon fruit scents.  Wonderful balance and depth of fruit.  Look for more complexity with time.  Will continue to develop in the bottle for another 5-8 years.

This rare reserve Chard is coveted for good reason- It's creamy texture wrapped around luscious butterscotch, melon and pear flavors with a toasty French oak veneer. Grapes are harvested at night primarily from the estate Carneros vineyards ensuring the grapes are picked cold to retain their fruit purity and bright natural acidity and fermented in French oak barrels. The wine is aged on primary yeast lees for eight months with intermittent stirring of the lees to enhance texture and boost complexity. Extremely limited!

Aromas of ripe golden apple with white peach and notes of sweet oak. On the palate, apple and pear characters are balanced by fresh acidity, and the finish is clean, with appealing mineral notes.
